What's Up | enjoy a flurry of new restaurants
Spring is arriving and bringing with it some new restaurants in the Cape Fear area, the expansion of some of our favorites, and others moving to new locations. Fill the coming month with visits to some of these exciting eateries:
True Blue Butcher and Barrel in the South Front District is owner/chef Bobby Zimmerman's spinoff of True Blue Butcher and Table. At 110 Greenfield Street, this new venture of Zimmerman's serves "reinterpreted bar food," with nods to Asian street food. Order the kai yang wings and enjoy outstanding craft cocktails.
Bald Head Coffee, which was started 2021 as an online-only company, has opened a coffee showroom in Southport, featuring small batch, roasted-in-th ...

Where We Sell: Leland, North Carolina

Today I'm sitting here in Leland in a rocking chair just to give you a little bit of an overview of Leland.
I've been coming to the area since I was a child, and I remember when Leland was really just a section of Village Road, which only included a grocery store, a post office, and a library.
So when you are headed to Leland from Wilmington, you're going to come over the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, or you could come from Isabelle Holmes Bridge. It takes you maybe about twelve minutes to get from downtown Wilmington to Leland. You're going to cross over the Cape Fear and the Brunswick River, and it does split off into 17, or you can go to Old Village - Old Village Road.
Leland consists of natives that have been born and raised here. I remember back when Leland was farmland and a lot of the property was handed down from one generation to the next. As we have grown, we have people that live here from everywhere, from the Northeast, the Midwest, all the way from the West Coast. ...

Homebuyers' Resources: Protect Your Pre-approval

Protect Your Mortgage Pre-approval
Following these tips could be your key to a great home loan with low rates and fees.
Do
Do stay current on existing accounts.
One 30-day late notice can compromise your ability to be approved.
Do continue to use your credit as normal.
Changing your pattem will raise a red flag and can lower your credit score.
Do call your mortgage loan professional first.
If you have any questions or concerns, always contact your mortgage professional.

Don't
Don't apply for new credit.
Every time you have your credit pulled by a potential creditor or lender, you will lose points from your credit score. This includes co-signing for a loan or applying for new credit.
Don't max out credit cards.
Do not use more than 30% of your available credit limit during the loan process. If you pay down balances, do it across the board.
Don't consolidate your debt.
When you consolidate all of your debt onto one or two credit cards, it will appear that ...
