Hey, I'm Nancy Schappell with KBT Realty Group. Just wanted to introduce myself and give you a little hint about the Wilmington area.
I've moved here recently, but I've been a Realtor for over 16 years. Love this area, and I love the master plan communities. I live in one, it's Brunswick Forest.
So here's what I love about Wilmington. First of all, I come from Pennsylvania, and we really just got tired of the winters. And so we started to make a plan as to where we were going to spend the next chapter of our lives. And we started south and worked our way up. And when we hit Wilmington, we felt like we found home. It wasn't a huge city. It was a city that just spoke to us. We loved the fact that it was on the water. We love the fact that it's 15 minutes, ten minutes to the beach. We loved all of the things that it offered. Good food, good culture, close to water. It was just the perfect place for us.
Funny story. I ran my husband's chiropractic practice for a really long time ...

Kirk Pugh wraps up 2021 with a holiday greeting and review of the year's Real Estate market performance, while looking ahead to 2022.
The new year is quickly approaching, and as a leadership group, we've been reflecting on many of the things that we had to be grateful for this year and gosh, there's a ton of it, right?
So we've started a handful of new agents with our company. We've added commercial real estate to our portfolio of services. We've stumbled across and pursued some development opportunities as a real estate group, and for the year, we're going to finish up right around 300 units, $80 million in volume. That's a 44% increase over last year, and net of inflation or home price appreciation, that's about 25%, which I don't care who you are: That's pretty darn good growth.
And we are grateful for the faith that all of our clients have put in us and our team over the years.
I'm going to run through some numbers to kind of wrap up the year and keep in mind, these numb ...

Kyle Frie, with KBT Realty Group in Wilmington, moved from Holly Springs, North Carolina to become a full-time real estate agent while finishing his bachelors degree from Eastern Carolina University online.
I've been in real estate for just under a year. I got into real estate because I knew it was something that I've always wanted to pursue. My original idea was to go to college, get a degree, get a job. And due to COVID, I got my real estate license kind of just for fun.
And, it turned into me working full time as a Realtor down here in Wilmington. I love it down here. There's such a diverse group of people and homes.
I was originally born on Long Island, New York. I lived there until I was six years old, and then my family moved to Holly Springs, North Carolina, which is about 20 minutes from Raleigh. I love the beaches, but I have to say I like the river more.
I live in Riverlights right behind me, and Riverlights is kind of a newer community, and it's not as ...

Shawn Robert, Broker, has joined KBT Realty Group as an agent specializing in commercial brokerage with the newly formed KBT Commercial, a division of KBT Realty Group - Keller Williams INNOVATE.
Meet Shawn Roberts
Hi, I'm Shawn Roberts. I'm a commercial broker with KBT Commercial Realty in Wilmington, North Carolina.
I transitioned into commercial real estate because I really have a love for the business planning process. I was trying to open a restaurant, and I was trying to get people to invest in me by walking down the street and giving out business plans and pitching them on the spot with menus. And that just seemed like the most sensible way for me to talk to the most people about my business idea.
And a lot of the people that were willing to hear me out, and listen to me more, were real estate brokers, and they said, you have a talent here that you're not seeing, and maybe we should talk about that talent.
So it's real estate that kind of showed me what I'm better at ...

Kirk Pugh, with Real Estate state-of-the-market observations, at the end of the third quarter for 2021:
Let's talk about this crazy housing market some. I'd like to run through some statistics because I'm kind of a numbers nerd. And then we'll talk about something a little less quantifiable, although still supported by some of the numbers that the research analysts at Morgan Stanley have put together.
There's been a little bit of chatter, and there have been some rumblings in some of the mastermind groups that I'm a part of, that the market has slowed some, and the numbers kind of support that. So I'd like to talk about the numbers and then talk about why I think the numbers are what they are.
Let's just look at numbers again. These are through July because Morgan Stanley's research always runs about a month behind.
Existing home sales: down nine and a half percent month-over-month for the year
New home sales were down significantly - almost 20%
Purchase mortgage applicati ...
