What does it mean to "Demystify Leverage"?
Individuals, especially those in real estate, often don't quite grasp the concept of leverage, and all the types of leverage that are available to in both your personal life and your career.
Whether you are a brand new agent, or you have been in real estate for years, whether you are an independent agent, or you are working in a team, you are going to come across a time where you feel like you are pushing up against a wall. This could cause you to not be able to do the thing that is the most important to you: your number one priority in your life.
That's when it's really important to turn to leverage.
Gary Keller, the founder of Keller Williams, which is the largest real estate company in the world by agent count, closed sales volume, and units sold, teaches us in his book The ONE Thing, to identify the one topic - the one thing - that you can do today that will allow everything else to be either unnecessary or not i ...

There’s a Path for That: Meet Teri Moylan, Director of Growth & Operations
Teri talks about her work as a real estate career coach at KBT:
I love watching people grow, and helping them achieve their goals. One of the key things that I do on a daily basis is help agents set their plan to reach their goals - their business plan - and to visualize what they want to attain in their real estate career.
I’m excited to be in my current role as Director of Growth and Operations with KBT Realty Group, because every day, I get to do what I enjoy most: coaching individual agents as they figure out what their perfect life is, and helping them achieve work-life balance with their own goals in mind.
To get up and running as a real estate agent, creating a business plan that can lead to success is an integral part of goal setting and work flow planning. Every agent must take the steps to achieve that plan.
My personal experience in real estate fuels my a ...

You've finally found your dream house. It has all the features you are looking for, from shiny hardwood floors to a walk-in closet and an amazing location - all for an irresistible price. But those aren’t the only factors that go into getting your perfect home. Here are ten crucial questions to ask your real estate agent before you sign on the dotted line.
Handy Checklist of Questions for Your Agent
How old is the roof?
This is one of the most important things to ask your real estate agent. The price of asphalt roofing replacement is extremely pricey and is more common in beach towns like Wilmington. So ask your real estate agent how old the roof is, because the last thing you want is to buy a home with a damaged, weathered-down roof.
What are the parking restrictions around the house?
Here are a few more questions about parking: How many parking permits do you as the homeowner obtain? And can you get more if you decide to throw a party? If you have a large fam ...

Meet Broker/Realtor Ryan Naylor, the youngest member of the KBT Realty Group team, with seven month on the job, after passing his North Carolina state real estate exam on the first try. Ryan has already had success in real estate, with showings and closings.
Why real estate? As Ryan says, real estate is pretty much in the family: his mother is a Realtor, currently doing inside sales at KBT Realty; his father was a Wall Street commercial lender; Kirk Pugh, Ryan's step father, is also his Broker-in-Charge; and, his grandfather is a producing agent.
As a Millennial, the tech-friendly environment at Keller Williams is especially appealing. He sees the company rolling out new technology on a daily basis. The Kelle app puts tools at a seller's fingertips, and makes buyers' searches more efficient and focused. Ryan notes that technology can empower an agent with personalization and information that makes the best use of both real estate expertise and a clients' time.
