Learn about Waterford, a master planned community in Leland, North Carolina, with Nancy Schappell, Broker/Realtor® at KBT Realty Group.
Good morning everyone. Just want to let you know that I'm coming from Waterford, which is a master planned community in Northern Brunswick County.
So the Waterford community is one of the first master planned communities. It's in Brunswick County, just off of Route 17 in the Northern section of Brunswick County, close to downtown Wilmington, but easily driveable to either the Southern Brunswick County beaches, Myrtle Beach or Wrightsville Beach to our north.
It's 575 acres and just shy of 1500 homes established in 2002. It has 17 miles of freshwater canals that you can either kayak or paddle board through and 12 miles of trails, beautiful clubhouse, which is just behind us with a beautiful pool. It's a clubhouse-style lifestyle, beautiful homes ranging anywhere from $400,000 to just shy of a million dollars. Brick built. So we have patio ...

Castle Hayne and Wrightsboro, North Carolina
Hey, guys, it's Fred Teachey with KBT Realty doing another segment of "Where We Sell."
So today we're going to talk about the Castle Hayne/Wrightsboro area of New Hanover County. Castle Hayne and Wrightsboro - this little area - was like one of the last undeveloped areas. There's older neighborhoods in here, but the newer developments haven't really come in here until the last probably about the last ten years when it's really started, when they got some infrastructure over here as far as water and sewer and what have you.
So we've seen a lot of development coming in over here. The cool thing about the Castle Hayne Wrightsboro area, it is in the northern-northwest part of the county. The location here is fantastic, especially with the bypass that's opened up. You can get to Porters Neck in ten minutes. You can be to downtown Wilmington in five to ten minutes. You can jump on I 40 very easy. The airport is right around the corner. . ...

Today I'm sitting here in Leland in a rocking chair just to give you a little bit of an overview of Leland.
I've been coming to the area since I was a child, and I remember when Leland was really just a section of Village Road, which only included a grocery store, a post office, and a library.
So when you are headed to Leland from Wilmington, you're going to come over the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, or you could come from Isabelle Holmes Bridge. It takes you maybe about twelve minutes to get from downtown Wilmington to Leland. You're going to cross over the Cape Fear and the Brunswick River, and it does split off into 17, or you can go to Old Village - Old Village Road.
Leland consists of natives that have been born and raised here. I remember back when Leland was farmland and a lot of the property was handed down from one generation to the next. As we have grown, we have people that live here from everywhere, from the Northeast, the Midwest, all the way from the West Coast. ...

Hi, I'm Nancy Schappell with KBT Realty. We're here today in Brunswick Forest, which is where I live.
This is a master plan community in Brunswick County. It is a community of right now, 4000 homes, going to be somewhere between seven and 8000 homes, but it feels small. We have all kinds of small neighborhoods that have their own HOA, that have their small streets with walking sidewalks, ponds.
Here's what's great about Brunswick Forest.
There are homes that are townhomes, cottages, single family, all the way up to million dollar homes... from $300,000 to million dollar plus homes. So there's something for everyone. Whether you're downsizing or wanting to build your dream home, you can do it here in Brunswick Forest.
It's not a retirement community. It's not a 55 plus. It is a community that is diverse with people that still work, people that are retired, people that have come from the north looking for a warmer climate with blue skies and bright sunshine and thi ...
