Wilmington and the beaches are decidedly dog-friendly, with great walking trails, outdoor dining at restaurants that welcome four-legged friends, and a slew of dog parks and pup-oriented recreational activities.
In a community that embraces both your family and your pets, there are plenty of options when deciding what do for the day or evening - options that include your dog, too!
Dog-Friendly Breweries
Starting in September 2019, there is a new law in North Carolina that will allow dogs (and cats) inside breweries, as long as the brewery doesn't prepare food on the premises.
Here are some of our favorite spots to grab a beer and chill with our four-legged buddies:
Front Street Brewery
Waterline Brewery
Waterman's Brewing Company
Goat & Compass
Good Hops Brewing
Edward Teach Brewing
Good Hops
Wrightsville Brewing
Flytrap Brewing
Burnt Mill Tavern
Dog-Friendly Dining
Generally, the rule for finding a restaurant that doesn't mind if you bring your dog along is ...

One of the most anticipated arrivals of summer are the Cape Fear area's bountiful farmers' markets. With a richly varied offering of locally grown vegetables and fruits - not to mention unique farm-fresh food products like preserves, hot sauces, sausages, and pickles - farmers converge on markets every day of the week in different locations throughout growing season. Some markets wrap up in mid- to late August, and the larger markets run through late November, so be sure to double check dates.
Local shoppers look for North Carolina-grown produce like cantaloupe, peaches, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, squash, and cabbage. Of course, there is a wide selection of other fruit and vegetables depending upon the time of the growing season. Watch for fresh berries during the short window of late May to mid-June, and a wide variety of pie and decorative pumpkins in early Fall. Farmers' market followers know where to find everything from microgreens to kombucha and North Carolina wines ...

Why do people get into real estate and what do they need to succeed?
In this episode of "There's a Path for That," Teri Moylan tackles that question, from her personal experience, and as a Growth Director at KBT Realty Group, and a real estate coach.
Teri went into real estate because she wanted to get her life back. The problem with that, she found, is that many people go into business for themselves because they like the idea of being their own boss, but don't really know how to be their own boss.
Accountability and Goal Setting
Most people who are running major corporations have some kind of accountability system in place. They may be a CEO who is help accountable by a board of directors. If you are going into real estate because you want t ...

What does it mean to "Demystify Leverage"?
Individuals, especially those in real estate, often don't quite grasp the concept of leverage, and all the types of leverage that are available to in both your personal life and your career.
Whether you are a brand new agent, or you have been in real estate for years, whether you are an independent agent, or you are working in a team, you are going to come across a time where you feel like you are pushing up against a wall. This could cause you to not be able to do the thing that is the most important to you: your number one priority in your life.
That's when it's really important to turn to leverage.
Gary Keller, the founder of Keller Williams, which is the largest real estate company in the world by agent count, closed sales volume, and units sold, teaches us in his book The ONE Thing, to identify the one topic - the one thing - that you can do today that will allow everything else to be either unnecessary or not important ...
