Teri Moylan is a Broker/Realtor with KBT Realty Group - Keller Williams, in Wilmington North Carolina. Teri grew up on North Carolina, about two hours from Wilmington.
As a child, one of her favorite things was the family packing up for the day and heading to the beach with beach toys, rafts, and sunblock to make a great family day out. After college at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, she ended up on the West Coast. In seven years, she found herself having moved four times working in entertainment marketing for the casino industry. She loved what the work she was doing, but after four moves, she realized that there is an art to relocation, and decided to take that personal experience and put it to work helping other people who were buying and selling real estate.
Teri Moylan has been an active participant in the real estate industry for more than fifteen years. She started out selling in Reno, Nevada, and, when her son was born, she and her husband made an active choice to call North Carolina home again. In moving back to North Carolina, they picked Wilmington, mostly because Teri loved the idea of loving where she lived, which meant living at the beach.
Teri loves more than just the beaches in the Wilmington, New Hanover County area, though. She notes the parks - like Long Life where this video is shot - offer beautiful playground equipment, including handicap accessible equipment, great walking trails, baseball fields, and paddle boats. Whatever you are looking for in the community where you want to live, Teri suggests that an experienced, local Realtor can help you match your lifestyle to a new community.
One of the great things about living in Wilmington, Teri says, is the beautiful weather throughout the year, even in January. Her husband actually went swimming on Christmas Day the first time he visited the area with Teri. Regardless of the time of year, there are amazing things to do, not just at the beaches, but at the parks, playgrounds, museums, golf courses, for both families and individuals.
When you are thinking about where you want to live, she suggests, if you don't know all the nuances of the different communities, that's where Teri loves to work with people and understand what they are looking for in the place where they live. She believes that her job is not just educating people on the local real estate market, but introducing them to all the options they have in the various communities in the New Hanover county area, and the surrounding counties.
If you are selling, Teri emphasizes, it's equally important to work with a Realtor who knows the area and knows the market so that the timing of the sale of your home and the story that is told about your home is all about what is going to get it the best exposure.
Love where you live, she says, because she does: Wilmington, North Carolina.
