Kirk Pugh, co-owner and president of KBT, has been named to the Board of Directors of Canines for Service, a Wilmington-based nonprofit organization that trains and provides service dogs to Veterans with service-connected mobility limitations, post-traumatic stress disorder, and traumatic brain injuries.
About 90% of the dogs in Canines for Service are adopted into the training program from shelters and rescue organizations. Veterans can apply for a service dog on the CFS website. All CFS service dogs are paired with Veterans whose needs match the dogs' talents, and there is no cost to the recipient of the service dogs.
Jennifer Wilson-Mathis, CFS Director of Development, Julie Angle, Lead Training Coordinator, and Oliver, a dog-in-training, stopped by KBT to introduce the team to their organization.
KBT will be working with Canines for Service to help raise both awareness and funds in support of their mission.
Becky Brown, KBT co-owner, was awarded "Caregiver" at the Keller Williams ELEVATE Awards Ceremony on March 25. This award recognizes the person in the Keller Williams INNOVATE region who looks out for everyone around them.
At the ELEVATE Awards Ceremony, KBT Realty Group won the Triple Platinum award for 2020 Production, with sales of more than 300 units.
